ANALYST, TRADE FINANCE OFFICER

JOB DESCRIPTION
As an Analyst in Trade Finance Operations, you will be part of the Nordic Business Support Group in Stockholm and contribute to the administration and processing of International and domestic Guarantees and Letters of Credits.
You will be responsible for a broad range of operational tasks related to guarantees and documentary credits, working closely with clients as well as colleagues in our international Back Office platforms in Paris and Mumbai.
The role offers the opportunity to develop a broad understanding of Trade Finance products and processes within an international banking environment, with exposure to guarantees, documentary credits, reconciliations and reporting.
YOUR POTENTIAL SCOPE
Your main responsibilities will include:
Supporting the administration of guarantee issuances, including amendments, cancellations and releases.
Supporting the administration of documentary credits
Assisting with the administration of discounting of documentary credits in cooperation with the Mumbai Back Office platform.
Following up on guarantee invoices and related payments.
Following up on correspondent bank commissions and related payments.
Performing local controls and account reconciliations.
Supporting reporting to internal and external counterparties and authorities.
Identifying and escalating sanctions-related matters to the Sanctions Compliance Officer.
You will also be expected to:
Read, understand and comply with the Group Sanctions Policy.
Complete required International Sanctions training.
Complete the annual attestation confirming compliance with the Group Sanctions Policy and completion of required training.
YOUR PROFILE
We are looking for a structured, analytical and detail-oriented individual with an interest in Trade Finance and banking operations.
You are eager to learn, curious and motivated to develop your knowledge within Trade Finance. You approach new tasks with an open mind and are not afraid to ask questions or seek guidance when needed. At the same time, you are able to work independently, take ownership of your responsibilities and ensure that tasks are followed through to completion.
You are a reliable and accountable team player who enjoys collaborating with colleagues and contributing to a positive working environment. You are humble, open to feedback and willing to learn from others, while also bringing your own ideas and perspectives to the team.
You are adaptable and flexible, and able to manage changing priorities in a structured and professional manner. Accuracy and attention to detail are important to you, and you understand the importance of following established processes and procedures in a banking environment.
You have a strong sense of responsibility and enjoy working in an international environment. You are comfortable working with detailed processes and understand the importance of accuracy, controls and adherence to procedures.
Previous experience within Trade Finance, banking operations, documentary credits, guarantees or a related area of financial services would be an advantage.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Relevant academic background, preferably in economics, finance, business or a related field.
Previous experience in banking, Trade Finance or financial services is an advantage.
Knowledge of documentary credits, bank guarantees or other Trade Finance products is beneficial.
Good analytical and organisational skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work in a structured manner and manage several tasks simultaneously.
Good communication and collaboration skills.
Fluent in English. Swedish is an advantage.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
